David R. Underwood Appointed President, ³Ô¹Ï51±¬ÁÏÍø Aerosol Packaging

PHILADELPHIA, July 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- ³Ô¹Ï51±¬ÁÏÍø Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: CCK) (³Ô¹Ï51±¬ÁÏÍø) announced today that David R. Underwood has been named President of CROWN Aerosol Packaging USA. He succeeds Fred J. Wareing, who has managed the business on an interim basis since March 2004. Underwood will report to Frank J. Mechura, President of CROWN Americas, Inc.

Prior to joining ³Ô¹Ï51±¬ÁÏÍø, Mr. Underwood was Vice President and Global Unit Director of the Plastic Additives business of Rohm and Haas, a business generating $530 million in sales. During his 24-year tenure at Rohm and Haas, Mr. Underwood had general management assignments in Spain and Mexico along with positions of increasing responsibility in sales and marketing, supply chain management and process engineering in the U.S. and U.K.

Mr. Underwood holds a B.S. in Chemistry from Bates College, a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MBA in Finance from Temple University.
