The flowers are blooming and the sun is shining. However, April signifies more than just the approach of summer. Not only did the world celebrate Earth Day on April 22, but in North America we have also been observing Keep America Beautiful Month.

Reducing Waste And Recycling

Keep America Beautiful Month celebrates everything we can do as individuals, companies and society as a whole to make our corner of the world a better place. Founded on three key principles of reducing waste, preventing litter, and beautifying communities, the Keep America Beautiful Foundation is the nation’s leading nonprofit that builds and sustains vibrant communities.

The 3Rs - reduce, reuse, and recycle - are paramount to a healthy environment. That applies particularly to product packaging and, as we showed earlier this week, metal food, beverage and product packaging is an essential tool for preventing waste.

Metals Keep America Beautiful

Metal packaging doesn’t just hold its own against other forms of packaging in terms of sustainability – it excels. Unlike many other materials, metal is 100% recyclable, recycled at high levels and can be continuously reused with absolutely no degradation in performance or quality.
