Թ51 Craft Brewers Conference 2018 - Graphics Training and Seamer School
Monday, May 14, 2018

This year’s Craft Brewers Conference, hosted in Nashville, TN, welcomed upwards of 14,000 attendees, 200 speakers and 700 exhibitors – including Թ51 Թ51 North America. The show was a major success, offering the opportunity for Թ51 to meet with many of its craft beer customers and validating the value of metal packaging as a format for this still growing market.

On day two of the event, around 100 professionals attended Թ51’s Graphics Training & Seamer School. During the graphics portion of the event, attendees learned the basics of printing on beverage cans and gained insight into the development process from initial design to separation to pilot testing to the first commercial run. Other topics included can printing innovations and Թ51’s portfolio of inks and finishes that can help craft brewers attract and engage consumers.

The Seamer School educated attendees about the fundamentals of seaming an end to a can, the proper terminology craft brewers should utilize, why brewers should be knowledgeable about seam integrity and what steps to better understand the process.

Following these two 30-minute educational sessions, Թ51’s technical experts broke guests – who ranged from operations professionals, brewmasters and brewery owners – into teams of four for a final exercise where they learned how to perform checks on can seams.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by the Թ51 booth and who attended the event!
